Put Your Paws Up!

Friday night was the first home football game for our hometown high school.  So in honor of the event, Put Your Paws Up nails!

(P.S. - This is clearly my right hand,
 thus painted with my left hand so give me a little break)

 Check them out here...they could very well be my FAVORITE of all-time!)

I started with a single coat of Sally Hansen Double-Duty as a base coat.  Then the pinky, ring, and middle fingers (and thumb, not pictured) have two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out and the index has two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Cherry Red.  On all nails, I used a single coat of Sally Hansen Instra-Dri (hey, I was in a hurry!)  All nails were then topped with Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love.  Paws were made with my dotting tool and a bottom later of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Celeb City with Pure Ice Crimson on top.  The "C" was made with Kiss Nail Paint (striping brushes) in black and silver glitter.

In case you were curious.....the home team won!  

M&M's Characters Nails

I'm part of a Facebook group called Polish-aholics Anonymous.  Each week they have a Monday Challenge and this week it was Candy-Inspired.


So I did these little guys......

They're the M&M Characters!!!!

I had a BLAST researching the little nuances of each character - they're eye shape, eyebrow position, mouth expressions.  Orange is always panicky, Blue is the cool dude, Red is usually mad at something stupid Yellow did, Yellow is usually clueless and goofy, and then there's GREEN, the sexy and smart lady of the group!  I JUST LOVE how these turned out!  They may very well be my all-time favorites!!!

I started each nail with Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base and Top Coat.

Orange - first coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, then a single coat of Pure Ice Hot Tamale on top of that

Blue - two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Blue It

Red - first coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Cherry Red with Pure Ice Crimson on top

Yellow - one coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow with Pure Ice Excuse Me on top

Green - two coats of Crayola Green Apple (scented!!)

Then I put a coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri on just the colors.

To make the faces, I used Cover Girl White on White, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out, Kiss Nail Art Pain striping brush in black and a little Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Emerald City for Green's lips.
